Dylan Dames, a 26-year-old singer-songwriter, has been perfecting his craft, drawing inspiration from a diverse range of time frames and genres. As reported by Creative Loafing Tampa, Dames' musical journey began in a college dorm room, where he started his project, DAMES. Dames' approach to music is not only about creating soulful melodies but also about fostering a sense of community and collaboration.
During a rehearsal at Woodlawn in Greater Woodlawn, St. Petersburg, he led his bandmates with a spirit of cooperation, inviting them to participate in building the setlist and its structure. This collaborative approach was a testament to his dedication to treating the performance as a joyful experience. As Dames took the stage, his love and admiration for his wife, Gina Lever, were evident.
She was busy preparing the DAMES merchandise table and checking in ticketed guests, showcasing the couple's strong partnership. According to Dames, it was Lever who suggested hosting an acoustic show to raise funds for a Tori Kelly concert in 2018.
